Ministry in Motion

The Bible teaches us: Forget yourself long enough to give others a helping hand. Grace Lutheran invites you to join us in reaching out to the community in Christian love.

Grace members have reached and will continue to reach out to our communities here on Holiday Island, in Eureka Springs, and through the surrounding area in many ways through church-sponsored endeavors, both ongoing as well as single events; through donations, and through individual volunteering to local charities.  Here are some ways in which you can join us in being a servant to those in need in our communities.

Be a member of the Senior Center "Meals on Wheels" delivery team.  Grace is part of the Carroll County delivery of lunch-time meals to senior citizens from Berryville to Holiday Island.

Work with the Eureka Springs Food Pantry.  Grace has been a long-time active supporter of our local food pantry and that work continues today.  Grace members volunteer in a number of ways:  contributing items to the pantry; distributing food; serving on the Board of Directors; delivering products from area food banks to the pantry; and making monetary donations, both individually and from the church.

Supporting the Cornerstone Bank parking lot event.  Local Cornerstone Bank donates its downtown parking lots on weekends to charitable organizations to park cars for a designated fee.  Grace volunteers to man these lots once a year and distributes all received funds to either local charities or other deserving organizations.

Join the Women's Guild.  The Guild is a fellowship organization for women of the church. The Guild is involved in a number of ministries, such as providing health items to veterans in the V.A. Hospital; sewing quilts for nursing home residents; the local Christmas Angel Tree event; The Cradle for pregnant women and various other ministries.  The members also enjoy social activities during the year.

Join the Men's Group. The Group is a fellowship organization for men of the church which was just started last year. To date it has been focused on providing services within the church and to church members, but, is now considering expanding their activities beyond the church.

As we work together and continue to identify opporunities to serve others, let us remember what a blessing the Lord ha given us to be able to follow in HIS footsteps by loving and serving HIS people.

What a joy it is to FORGET OURSELVES! Come join us!
